New Tour Winners!
The 2011 Pro Footvolley Tour Virginia Beach Open, presented by Bud Light Lime, was decided in three sets as AJ/Canela beat Boente/Plentz in a 3-set stunning nail-biter. The high drama kept the capacity crowd on their feet on four straight match points before Adrian Boente attempted a risky 'shark attack' that failed and sealed the victory for the tournament favorites. AJ/Canela will now wear the winner's Lime Jerseys to Seaside Heights, NJ on July 30-31.

International Challenge: Paraguay Prevails
Pro Footvolley Tour's newest addition: 'International Challenge' was played on Saturday evening. It was an instant crowd favorite!
In the first match, Portugal's Adrian Boente and Lucas Roque didn't find much rhythm and Paraguay's Canela & Ojeda pulled away 21-15.
In the highly anticipated match-up of the evening, Brazilians Thiago and Fernando Plentz put on an 'shark frenzy' delighting the Oceanfront crowd. The tour's best shark attack specialists maximized their 3 extra point limit early on and sped to an 11-2 lead and won. Plentz/Thiago next came out flat, appeared tired, and never recovered from an early deficit. Paraguay took the International Challenge 25-15.
Semi-finals:
Boente/Plentz won 2-0 versus battered-up and bruised Rego/Souza. Roque/Meneghisso proved their victory versus Menezes/Sack was no fluke in extending AJ/Canela to 3 sets before losing the deciding set (21-15, 18-21, and 15-10).
Champions: AJ (Coconut Creek, FL) with Canela (Queens, NY)
