Sergio Menezes CEOPresident and CEO, Pro Footvolley Tour LLC
Sergio Menezes

Mr. Sergio Menezes (in the blue shirt without the jacket) leads Pro Footvolley Tour, LLC.

Mr. Menezes is a former credit card marketer [American Express Europe (London) and Latin America (Miami)]; corporate banker [Fleet Boston (Boston, MA) and Citibank (388 Greenwich NYC)]; and sales analyst [ESPN in Bristol, CT]; turned sports entrepeneur who has the international corporate experience to take this sport to mainstream global acceptance.

Background
Born in Recife, Brazil and having grown up with ambassadors' kids in the Washington, DC suburbs; Mr. Menezes has always held a deep appreciation for global perspectives on politics, sport, and culture.  HS field trips meant attending Senate Hearings or visiting the World Bank or trying an Ethiopian eatery in Adams Morgan.   DC had folks from all around the world and new ideas were debated from a vastly different pool of thoughts and experiences.

Footvolley
While on college break, Mr. Menezes watched his uncle referee an international beach volleyball competition from the VIP section.  What fascinated the college sophomore; however, was the futevolei being played on Boa Viagem Beach outside the beach stadium.  His uncle (who refereed the 1984 Olympic Final in LA) snarled that futevolei was 'simply too intrusive and uninstitutional'.   The X-Games were intrusive to the Olympics.  UFC was uninstitutional to boxing or Judo.  Years later, those words led to the formation of Pro Footvolley Tour.
